I just wrote a very very very simple site about performance chips. The pros and cons and the difference between performance chips, and hand held programmers. Its a test to see how well I can get this site ranked, and see if I can make any kind of a profit from it.

Jeep Profile will launch at midnight tonight. The site will be a resource for Jeep Enthusiasts. Jeep owners will be able to write about their jeeps and we will post it on the home page of our blog. Jeep Profile will include installations, articles, forums, and a Jeep of the day type format on the home page.

A friend of mine just launched a new website. Its called Recall Buddy. Recall Buddy is a recall notification system. It allows anyone and everyone to create a free account, and then enter in any products that they would like recall notifications for. Entering in products is a sinch. Simply type in the manufacturer and the product name ( make / model ) and if that product gets recalled, Recall Buddy will let you know.

Recall Buddy also provides helpful information for if you end up in a recall situation. The site is currently in beta stage and the owners are looking for feedback as to how to make the site even better. You can go there now and try it out for free. Im just wrapping up a simple but professional website for my accountant. Here is his site: Kevin Kimpton. Its a clean website, built from scratch. Kevin wanted a somewhat “outdoorsy” feel and so did my best to convey that but also make it look like a professional accountant website. I hope you all like it.

I have been trying to restore a MySQL database for several days. The database is fairly large (130M), and so my server complains whenever I try to upload it through phpMyAdmin. I have also tried just copying/pasting sections of the MySQL database into the SQL Query area, but doing that with a large database is about as fun as rubbing your eyeballs with sandpaper. Something always goes wrong when you upload chunks manually.

After doing some research, I came across BigDump. When you use BigDump to upload/restore a database, it only restores so many lines of mysql at a time so that the server never gets overloaded or times out. I could not believe how fast it had finished the job. It seemed like 2 minutes max. I had spent hours trying to get it to work before then.

To use BigDump, all you have to do is upload the file to your site. Its just a file called, bigdump.php. Then, enter in your database information and where your backup is located( you will have to upload your .sql file via FTP to your site ) and then click the start button. Its so simple. I highly recommend it for those of you out there that are having the same problems that I was.

Check out the new design for Calypsos Coffee. The Calypsos Coffee site is run off of Wordpress. I’m enjoying building Wordpress driven sites more and more.
